Agenda/X leverages your investment in Microsoft Exchange calendaring by publishing a consolidated, graphical summary of Outlook Calendar information on your corporate intranet.

  • View DEPARTMENT or GROUP calendars

  • Locate what people are doing/where people are across the whole department or company.

Ideal for large or mobile organisations, Agenda/X gives managers, group secretaries and co-workers an instant, web-based view of where people are, what they are doing, and when they are next available. Never has group scheduling been so easy!

There is no need to inspect individual's Outlook calendars, or check attendee availability to locate someone or to book a convenient meeting. The simple and elegant design of Agenda/X adds operational value to many parts of the organisation.

"I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how pleased I am with your software (Agenda/X). We had never had a requirement in the past to share Outlook calendars. But, when the requirement came down it came from our Commanding General. So, now it needed to be done quickly and good. We did our homework. Several packages were evaluated and Agenda/X impressed us the most. None of the other choices we had did everything we wanted and as well as Agenda/X did. It was a perfect fit. Once the decision was made we were able to get up and running quickly. The software is powerful, yet small and has been running without trouble since it was installed. And I can't believe how flexible it is! Almost every aspect of the software can be tweaked or customised. I am very impressed."

Key Benefits

Agenda/X Key Benefits:

  • Encourages better use of the corporate Outlook calendar facility.

  • Improves worker efficiency and customer service.

  • Makes human and other resources (e.g. conference rooms) more visible.

  • Helps remove time-zone and language barriers in multi-national organisations.

  • Allows meetings to be requested via the web without Outlook.

  • Leverages investment in Active Directory by allowing a choice of fields to be displayed along with calendar details - e.g. contact number.

  • Eases Exchange calendar administration.

Improves Customer Service
The ability to quickly establish the whereabouts of anyone in your organisation means customers and clients calling in can be given a quick and accurate response as to where the person they need to speak with is, and when they are next available.

Eases Management in Dynamic Environments
Agenda/X allows users to create and maintain their own views to reflect team members and co-workers on current projects - without the need for Exchange Administrator intervention.

Rationalises Multiple Site and Time-zone Views
Organisations operating across multiple locations can use Agenda/X to give global views of personnel and resources. It can also help take account for changes in time-zone when scheduling tele-conferences or managing around the clock support resources.

Increases Visibility of Resource Bookings
As well as showing the availability of people, Agenda/X can be used to depict the availability of corporate resources such as conference rooms and presentation equipment.

Scope for Value-added Services
Agenda/X can be used to offer extranet services to clients via the web. For example course bookings and account manager availability can be published to selected clients.

Leverages Exchange/Outlook
The increased visibility that Agenda/X gives to the 'contents' of the Outlook Calendar has the effect of encouraging more active use of this facility. This helps organisations maximise the investment in both their Exchange environment and their human resources.

How It Works

The server-based Agenda/X Service reads appointments of selected users in regular intervals from the Microsoft Exchange Server message store and writes the information into a central database (any kind of ODBC compliant database, e.g. Microsoft Access, SQL Server, etc.).

The calendar information is published by Microsoft Internet Information Server on the corporate Intranet or Internet using a set of Active Server Pages accessed by the browser.`

All .asp code is available for easy customisation of views allowing a corporate look and feel.
