Network Attached Storage Solutions
NAS Servers are the easiest and cheapest way of adding Storage to your Network
If you're under pressure to increase the available Storage on your network
without the cost implications of deploying a traditional File Server,
now offer simple products that can be attached quickly and directly
to your Ethernet Network to provide significant additional Disk Capacity at
a very competitive price point.
We provide a range of Network Attached Storage platforms, scaling from
entry level units based on IDE Technology at 320 Gb, 480 Gb and 720 Gb capacity,
through to fully resilient and redundant architecture NAS Server Platforms
incorporating Hardware RAID, Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel Connectivity,
using Hot Pluggable Redundant Hard Disk drives.
Our Enterprise Class platforms are available at starting capacities of 1.0
Terabyte, and are expandable to 6.0 Terabytes and beyond.
If you requirements for Storage exceed 6.0 Terabytes in a single Platform,
we provide individual solutions using products from leading vendors
including EMC and Network Appliances.
In most cases, NAS Servers are designed for a single purpose - to store and share large
volumes of files over a Local Area Network – regardless of the File System and Operating
System used by your Client PCs. This includes Windows, Unix, Linux, NetWare and
Macintosh Clients. Users can access files held in personal and shared directories
on the NAS Server in the same way they do on a normal Windows or Unix Server, with
similar security and permissions. And unlike general-purpose file servers, client
license fees are not required, reducing cost of ownership as your network grows.
Typically N.A.S. devices do not actually host Networked Applications in the way a
normal Server would, as they use an embedded operating system compiled specifically
for use on the NAS Server. The entry level units are designed to install without
interrupting your network configuration, and can be up and running in as little as
15 Minutes!
have supplied NAS Server solutions to Education, Corporate, Local Government
and Emergency Services customers, who need cost effective large capacity live
storage for non critical data.
For customers looking at Enterprise Class Storage and Application Platforms,
provide certified Server and Storage solutions using the Stratus
ftServer product range coupled with EMC Storage. This combination offers maximum
availability for your Applications AND Data.

Storage Area Network Solutions
Storage Area Network Solutions deliver flexible centralised Disk
Storage with high levels of availability and redundancy along with simple
management and powerful disaster tolerance capabilities
Storage Area Networks are the obvious choice for organisations that need
to consolidate Server and Storage expenditure, leverage the benefits of
centralised management and dynamic allocation of Storage Resources, and
implement advanced Backup and Recovery Techniques such as LAN-Free Backup,
Data Replication and Snap-shot technologies. Using these technologies we can
reduce or eliminate your Backup Window, or create a second "live" copy
of your core Data.
A SAN is a central pool of Disk Capacity that removes the need for
large amounts of Storage inside each Server, and enables fast and dynamic
re-allocation of Storage and Disk Resources to where they are needed
most. This makes the best use of Disk capacity that might be unused
in a traditional Server, and applies advanced technologies such as
Dual RAID Controllers and the fastest Fibre Channel Hard Disks and
connectivity to ALL of your Storage.
Servers are connected to the SAN through dedicated high-speed Fibre
Channel Interfaces called Host Bus Adapters, connecting through Fibre
Channel SAN Switches, and are mapped to a specific portion of the Storage,
called a LUN (Logical Unit Number). Dynamic Sizing and Reallocation of
the LUNs utilises all the available Disk Space and maximizes your
investment in centralised storage.
Connecting your Centralised Tape Storage and Archive System to the
SAN can remove Backup Traffic from your LAN, freeing up valuable bandwidth,
and allowing applications to run unimpeded.
A SAN is the foundation that almost all High Availability / Fault Tolerant
Solutions are built on, and can be scaled and enhanced over time allowing
for phased investment. Combining a SAN with Fault Tolerant Servers and Data
Replication Technology can deliver true fault tolerance across your
Organisation's entire Application Set, for seamless and uninterrupted operation.
If you would like to know exactly how we can apply SAN technology
to your Organisation, please contact one of our SAN Experts who can guide
and advise you through all the considerations necessary. Please call
